ME!

Raised as a small but nimble hobbit, Emerson Boatwright envisioned artistic grandeur from the humble trimmings of his childhood home in the Smokey Altadena Foothills (so many fires). Slowly he jazz handled his way to the top while studying mouth sounds and musical inkblots at Columbia College Chicago. He currently lives under the Hollywood sign making tourists answer cryptic riddles or pay him money for safe passage.

Trained primarily as a musical theatre actor, you may have seen him around Los Angeles performing in many venues from the smallest black box in Hollywood to the Walt Disney Concert Hall, and even the Staples Center. From the years 2015-2019 Emerson spent a good portion of his time traveling the country performing as a singing Penguin in Octonauts Live, then as a singing Pig in Peppa Pig Live, and lastly as a rock&roll singing Platypus named Gus in Pete the Cat on Tour. Apparently it’s his thing? WHO KNOWS!?! He is however ready to take on more humanoid roles moving forward. Some fravorite humanoid roles from the past include Spamalot, Young Frankenstein, The Producers.

In 2019 after performing in every possible theatre in the US and Canada, Emerson came back to Los Angeles and performed in one of his favorite shows to date UMPO: A League of Their Own which brought him such reviews as “He round out the cast!”

In 2020-2021, he fell off the planet like everyone else.

Emerson has studied under Lindsay Mendez, Sierra Boggess, Ryan Scott Oliver, and Jack Plotnick. He Is currently studying at BGB Studios.
